چکیده
This research work aims to investigate the radiation shielding ability of a Yb3+-doped calcium borotellurite glass system. The system has basic composition CaF2–CaO–B2O3–TeO2–Yb2O3 but is denoted as TeBYbn for simplicity. effect increasing TeO2 content in glasses from 10 54 mol% was investigated, with five different chosen compositions and densities. Phy-X/PSD program used mass attenuation coefficient (µ/ρ) samples. coefficients were theoretically determined by using an online software calculation parameters. Other parameters then calculated analyzed, such linear (µ), transmission factor (TF), protection efficiency (RPE), effective atomic number (Zeff), mean free path (MFP). TeBYb5, greatest content, shown have µ/ρ; however, at greater energies, differences between values are practically negligible. µ increase density, 0.386 cm−1 0.687 TeBYb1 TeBYb5 0.284 MeV, respectively. least TF found samples thickness 1.5 cm, proving inverse correlation sample TF. HVL TVL decreased density increased, which means that out investigated glasses. proved lower MFP than some other glasses, demonstrating their capabilities shields. Based on parameters, indicated photon ability.

متن کاملStructure-Dependent Spectroscopic Properties of Yb3+-Doped Phosphosilicate Glasses Modified by SiO2
Yb3+-doped phosphate glasses containing different amounts of SiO₂ were successfully synthesized by the conventional melt-quenching method. The influence mechanism of SiO₂ on the structural and spectroscopic properties was investigated systematically using the micro-Raman technique. It was worth noting that the glass with 26.7 mol % SiO₂ possessed the longest fluorescence lifetime (1.51 ms), the...

Ytterbium-doped metaphosphate laser glasses were prepared by the melt-quenching technique and their optical, thermo-mechanical and laser properties were characterized. Linear and non-linear refractive indices, laserinduced damage threshold, microhardness number and thermal expansion co-efficient have been evaluated for 1.0 mol% Yb2O3-doped glass. Low non-linear refractive index, high laser-indu...
متن کاملThe Effect of Remelting on the Physical Properties of Borotellurite Glass Doped with Manganese
A systematic set of borotellurite glasses doped with manganese (1-x) [(B(2)O(3))(0.3)(TeO(2))(0.7)]-xMnO, with x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 mol%, were successfully synthesized by using a conventional melt and quench-casting technique. In this study, the remelting effect of the glass samples on their microstructure was investigated through density measurement and FT-IR spectra and evaluated by XRD ...
